When Barleans not around minimum alternative?

I  needed Flax Oil in a pinch and am unable to get Barleans Flax oil quickly, what are the minimum I need to find:  non gmo, cold pressed virgin flax oil, would that work in a pinch if I cant get Barleans right away or is sold out?

Besides the things you mention, organic is best.

I’m sure I’ll receive some criticism, but I’ve used whole food brand, which checks off all those boxes at a much better price for over 8 years now. I’m a cancer survivor and use Budwig for overall health and preventative maintenance. I can’t afford Barleans brand as it’s very expensive by measure. Before I started Budwig and besides the cancer, I was also diagnosed with NASH and my liver enzymes were off the chart. A year or so on Budwig and my liver numbers normalized and today well below high range. Just had a heart scan and it came back zero plaque or blockage of any kind. This is all due to the Budwig protocol using the brand I said at the beginning. Hope this helps some.

Barleans is just a brand name of cold pressed flax oil. There is nothing "special" about is. Any organic cold pressed flax oil will suffice. I used Puritan's Pride nearly the entire time of my healing, because it cost 1/3 of Barleans and the ingredients are essentially the same. No lignans.

Dr B received compensation from Barleans.

No criticism from me. I used Puritan's Pride and healed stage 4 lung cancer. Barleans is just another brand name, nothing more, nothing less. Any organic cold pressed flax oil will do, just read the label.

Wow I knew it...when I called  Barleans. once they were big on marketing, even down to the way there customer service reps pronounced the word "fresh"  I bought some flax oil, but wasn't organic, they got me on the "non gmo" which I assumed was organic...better luck next time

Hi Joe, your short run down about your own experience is quite beneficial for me. Can you please say how regular did you have the focc mixture?

Thanking you.

Shaz, Two to three times a day depending on whether working from the office or from home at the time. I still have focc once or twice a day and definitely first thing in the morning as the health benefits have been so wonderful for my overall health and it makes me feel good physically. It just suits me so well and is a part of my life now and should cancer ever return, I’ll resume a strict Budwig protocol regimen once again.

I was thinking of trying Piping Rock.  Price is really good!

I used Piping Rock at first and it worked well. I switched to Puritan's because they have some really good sales, but then they stopped carrying flax oil recently. Back to Piping Rock ;)

I've used both of them depending on availability. Puritan pricing is better. But last year they had a dry spell due to a problem with their supply chain. I haven't had a problem with them so far in 2024.

Quality is good with both companies in my view and both offer huge savings compared to Barlean's.

So Puritan's is back online with flax oil? That is good to hear. They offer some good sales.

If Puritan's Pride is in fact selling flax oil again I would suggest looking there as well. They have buy 1 get 2 free a few times a year.

I use the Vitamin Shoppe.  A few times a year they have a buy one get one 1/2 off.

Joe, I have a question. I see Puritan's has oil again as you indicated. How is the flavor? When they stopped carrying it a while back it was right after I got a batch that tasted terrible. I thought it was rancid, but they said it was because the seeds weren't "de-bittered" prior to pressing. Regardless, they refunded me as I could not use it.
