Hi there Iam new to the group. I have got GIST stage 4. I am on imatinib ( protein inhibitor) 400mg once daily for 10 weeks and on Budwig protocol for 8 weeks. I follow the protocol as much as possible I would say 90% Since on it I feel great. Lost 5-6 kg , sorted out my high blood pressure and feel 10 years younger. I will have my first CT scan at the end of July and see how it goes, but regardless of the results I think taking in account the way I feel I am sure it is working. cheers Goran

Hi, I also have GIST for over 7 years. I also take Imanib. At first I followed the protocol, but then I couldn't follow it completely.

I hope it goes well for you. Since I found out about it I changed my life style so BP fits easy in that. I enjoy FOCC twice daily plus 5 servings of FS and the rest of it. The only thing I didn’t exclude is animal proteins- once daily though for dinner only. I was amazed how such simple BP diet in short period of time made me feel really good, like nothing is wrong with me 🙂. Of course it’s much more into it than just FOCC , plant based food , believe, positive mindset, optimism at all times, spending time outside etc. For me so good so far.

Goran can I ask what is the medical problem that you are doing Budwig for? Thanks, Dean

It is GIST ( gastrointestinal stromal tumor) very rare kind of cancer, stage 4 . The classification is a bit different than the “normal “ cancer. It is kind of chronic condition as long as pills are working. No classic chemotherapy or radiation, just target medication for a cancer cells. So I combine conventional treatments with the BP. Not brave enough to go on BP only, but trying to be truthful to it as much as possible. So far so good.

Glad to read of another disease that can be treated with the protocol. GIST isn't a malignancy like cancer, but I can see how it would cross over. Diabetes, arthritis, many other issues have been healed by accident while people were treating cancer with Budwig. Hope it continues well, friend.

Budwig says what type of cancer was unimportant as her therapy worked on all of it!
