Hi Everyone, I am trying to arrow through a document I’ve written to proof read what I’ve written, and when I get to the end of the first page, it doesn’t move any further. It’s like it’s at the bottom of the document. Nothing I do lets me proceed any further, until I discovered that control+page down, puts me on the next page. I’m wondering what happened to continuous page scrolling? Before, I simply arrowed through a document, all the way to the bottom of the document, top to bottom, and now, I stop at the second page. The weird thing is that when it does allow me to proceed to the next page, it actually doesn’t go from page one to page two, it goes from page one to page three. When I perform the control+page down command, it takes me to page two, but when I arrow through the document, I’m thinking it’s going to let me move to the third page, but it doesn’t, it goes from page two, to page four. I’ve checked the view settings, and they seem to be normal, so I’m trying to figure out if this is a Jaws issue, or a Office issue. I don’t think it’s an Office issue, as it’s not happening in other app, Excel, Outlook, etc., it only happens in Word. Can anyone explain this, and help me fix it? Hello again, yesterday I sent a message on this subject, but apparently it didn’t go through, well nothing surprising because precisely at that exact moment M365 and other services were down. This issue didn’t affect all users as far as I can tell. It definitely affected my workflow, that’s for sure. Yesterday, when I came back from exercising, OneDrive wasn’t online anymore. Short later, I experienced regular disruptions in Outlook, but my main concern was OneDrive and the file I was working on. MS Word prompted me to make a copy and save it elsewhere, and fortunately enough, today OneDrive was back and even though it couldn’t merge changes within a single document, it let me to choose having both versions of the documents, so that makes three versions. Well, this is the kind of backup I need, no doubt. In the midst of the turmoil, I didn’t know that it was a general problem, so I deleted credentials, and created new ones, unlinked and linked again this PC, and finally reinstall OneDrive, and obviously nothing worked. I searched the web and found a few fellows having the same problem and commenting on this just during the last hour or so. For as long as I can remember, and that's at least 4.5 decades or more, Microsoft Word has used "Keep source formatting" as its default paste option. As of this morning, at least for me (and it will be coming to everyone using M365), the default paste option has changed to "Merge formatting." This effectively means that no matter what font and point size had been used for the thing copied, it will be pasted in the font and point size for the text in the document at the location where it's being pasted. Things like bold and italic are maintained, but not font and point size. I love, love, love this change as I have been hand selecting "Merge formatting" for the vast majority of pastes I have been doing forever. There are rare occasions where I want the source formatting, but I'd rather have to select that option for those exception cases instead of needing to select "Merge formatting" almost every time I paste. Not sure what caused things to change, but I apparently messed something up. Hopefully there is an easy remedy. until recently, when I selected a message, and clicked on the option to view all messages in that conversation…no matter what folder they are in, JAWS included ID of what folder a message was in. When “reading current line” in a conversational view, JAWS used to announce the name of the sender, subject, date, etc.; the last thing spoken was the name of the folder, where that message is stored. Sadly, something (I probably accidently changed a setting) caused the ID of the folder to not be spoken. I have a ton of folders, and occasionally need help figuring out what folder contains a stored message, so I really miss having folders identified in conversational views. To be clear, I do not use conversational views all the time, so normally, Show as Conversations is off. When there is a need to use conversational view, I tap the Applications Key; tap the letter f and then the letter c. I may need to tap F9 and/or F6 to cause messages to populate, but because of my settings, I am shown all messages under this subject, no matter what folder the message is in. JAWS tells me everything I need to know, but no longer says the folder name like it once did in the recent past. I’m pretty sure the change happened before the most current JAWS update, and I know it happened before Windows and Outlook updated yesterday. Same applies to #2 below. JAWS reports properly when using JAWS Key + Numb Pad 3 when viewing the normal list of messages (announcing unread messages, total messages, etc.), but not when searching. After using Control, Shift and the letter f, and then the JAWS Key + Numb Pad 3, I hear “time: anytime.” I can arrow up/down through the list of messages (may be in different folders), but I want JAWS to provide status bar specs in this view…not just in the normal view. I have spent way too much time playing around in the view settings, JAWS settings, and did a Google search, but am not finding remedies for either problem. I hope one of you might have a suggestion. If nothing else, your thoughts about these problems being more of a JAWS issue or Outlook issue would be helpful. I can reach out to Microsoft if the latter, but I’m guessing they aren’t particularly helpful resolving matters tied directly to JAWS. So, I would then call Vispero support. I AM USING OFFICE 365 AND JAWS 2023. WHEN I START TYPING AND WANT A CAPITAL LETTER I GET THE BUZZ WHICH INDICATES I AM ALREADY IN CAPITALISATION MODE. IF I PRESS THE CAPS LOCK KEY NOTHING CHANGES. IF I READ WHAT I HAVE TYPED LETTER BY LETTER JAWS INDICATES THAT ALL IS IN CAPITALS. IF I USE THE DOWN ARROW KEY THEN JAWS READS AS IF IT IS LOWER CASE LETTERS. The following is not strictly M365 related, but as we've already seen in one recent topic, certain functionality in the M365 ecosystem related to tightly protected messages requires the use of MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) to allow them to be opened. MFA is used across many contexts, not just protected messages in Outlook. The main point I do want to make is that you do NOT have to use the Microsoft Authenticator App, though it is fine if you choose to do so. There are many authenticator apps and all of them, to my knowledge, meet the standards necessary to be used across product lines. I use one called 2FAS where I am authenticating Microsoft accounts, PayPal accounts, Amazon, T-Mobile, my own credit union, and more. I know people who use Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator in a similar manner. I just don't want those who may already be using an authenticator app that they like and are comfortable with thinking they must use Microsoft Authenticator. When I open protected messages in outlook on my Windows 11 microsoft 365 lap top, they open, but when I try to open them on my Iphone 13 pro in the mail app which is synched with my mail account in outlook, they won't open and prompt me to download outlook. when I try to do that, it prompted me to update which I did and then prompted me to sign in my account and told me I have more than one account which I don't to my knowledge and asked me to pick between work/school account and personal and mine is personal and so I picked that and it said there was an error. Anyone encounter this? Suggestions?

This just started a few days ago. When arrowing through the message list, I keep getting a dialog popping up that gives me options regarding the contact of the sender. I get options for replying, adding to contacts, viewing contact card and a couple of other things. How can I disable this behavior? It gets in the way when reading through messages. Hi all, I had a gmail account but decided to delete it as I want to have all of my mail going to one address; I also deleted my entire Google account as that was the only reason I created one in the first place as I don’t use any other Google services. Anyway even though I removed the gmail account from outlook before deleting my entire Google account I’m still being prompted to sign into my Google account regularly (it’s taking me longer to do things in outlook because I have to keep getting rid of the prompt). Is there any way that I can stop outlook from prompting me to do this? I’m using the latest version of M365 personal. Thanks Madison

Hello. I know how to set the importance level in Outlook. Is there a simple way to check the importance level before sending the message? Tabbing round doesn't take me to that information. Pressing F6 just takes me to the menu bar. Pressing F6 again takes me back to the menu. If I press "alt+h h" to set the importance to high, JAWS, NVDA and Narrator do not announce "high importance", so if I am unsure whether I set it correctly, the only way I know to check is to find "high importance" in the menus. Please let me know if there are simple ways to quickly check this information.

Hi all, I have a freshly re-installed dell laptop with Windows 11 on it. After I’ve figured out how to set up system restore/roll back I will then go about re-installing things I need, including MS 365. So do I need to be careful about whether it installs classic Outlook rather than the new Outlook or do I just have to suck it and see and find out the hard way. Hi all, I know that not many are using the new Outlook, but I've been trying it for the past couple of weeks and quite like some of the features, especially the ability to pin email messages to the top of the inbox. I unsubscribed from all my Groups.io lists where I was using my GMail account, and re-subscribed with my live.ca account. After making this switch, I had to create a rule for each list in order to move the email messages to appropriate folders. I was not able to do this from within the new Outlook 365 app on my Windows 11 PC. The focus would get lost and I would get stuck in a field, like the conditions field, and pressing tab or arrow keys would not move me anywhere. After fighting with this for a while and getting nowhere, I decided to log in to my Outlook account through the Chrome browser, and from there I was easily able to create the rules I wanted. Has anyone had any luck creating rules from the new Outlook 365 app? I'm not talking about the new Outlook that replaces the Windows Mail app, but the new Outlook 365 app. And, one more thing. It would sure make navigating the interface easier if first letter navigation could be used in the folder list. Thanks for any ideas here, Russell Sent from the New Outlook.
