Hello, Im trying to get this rig and ordered one back in January from a vendor on AliExpress who sat on my money for a month and then dragged his feet issuing a refund! Grrrr! Ive tried links from TechMinds YT vids and they show it as unavailable. Anyone here know if its still available and from where I can get it from please? If not, anyone know of something similar? Hi dear OM's did someone know a SDR App for the Q900 V4 what works with Iphone ? I can't download QRadioBLE in Austria or Germany. I also tried the trick with the other Country and a new Apple User in England. Still the same message. Not available in your Country Thanks a lot 73 Donald

My Radio seems to be Def? Are there any fix's For the Q900? Reset or any other tricks? Was working fine Then turned it on and stopped receiving. I put a radio on same coax system & works. Not sure why it is def? Any help would be greatly appreciated

The different regions have somewhat different frequencies. An example is the 60 meter band where several Winlink RMS in Norway use frequencies locked by default on the Q900. How do I open the Q900 to use frequencies currently locked as «out of band» ? Ole/LB4PJ

Be careful with the new 3.4.3 firmware. A long press of RF makes the radio crash, at least with my unit.

While attempting to update to the latest firmware, l put the Q900 folder in my usb drive with the firmware update in that folder instead of letting the update stand alone. l got an error 2 msg and the red light blinks slowly off and on. l redid the usb drive and placed the update in the correct place per instructions. l tried installing it several times but the firmware will not install and the error message remains. Is there a way to reset the radio to original condition?Thanks 73 de wm6v

Does anybody use their Q900 on SSB? VHF or HF. Both have the same problem. Extreme over drive. AM is fine as is FM. They all share the same audio chain I would think. The only difference is the balanced modulator for SSB if they even make SSB that way anymore. My first modern radio so alien technology to me. Dave

I was wondering if anyone on this group could help me out with getting my QR20 upgraded. It is showing HW: v2.0, SW: v2.0.1 and I would like to get it to one of the newer version 3 firmware versions, but I am finding some conflicting information out there. 1. I asked Radioddity support, they said "the QR20 with V2 hardware cannot be updated to V3 firmware since there is a hardware difference. We recommend not upgrading to avoid damage to the radio." 2. On the Radioddity web site they have a PDF with instructions that indicate you need to "Disconnet the UV amplifier power cords" and use "Dfuse Demo software" to do the upgrade via USB. 3. In this forum post on linuxslate.com it says "Q900 Radios that show HW: 2.0 (or later, presumably) can be updated using a USB Flash Drive. Installing a separate Bootloader file is unnecessary at this time." I was just wondering if anyone here has done the upgrade either by desoldering the U/V amplifier or just using the flash drive and skipping dfuse altogether. I'd like to get the firmware upgraded but I'm not familiar with the rig and I would rather not brick it. I appreciate any help you can give!

I have been on 3 trips out of town in the past 2 weeks and haven’t been attentive here. I apologize. I hope to get back up to speed on the recent WhatsApp posts, then implement early plans yet undone. I also will link with Kai to make communications about the Q900 more useful. The q900 radio has Bluetooth built in. My Android tablet sees this Bluetooth. But when I try to connect to it from my tablet it asks for the PIN. It suggests 0000 or 1234 but neither of these work. The FT8cn software claims that it can connect to the q900 radio via Bluetooth. However I'm at a loss as to how that can be when I can't get my tablet to connect with the radio via Bluetooth without entering the correct PIN which isn't listed in the user manual or anywhere else online that I can find. Do any of you have any suggestions?

When running FT-8 or JS8-Call, my CAT control periodically disconnects. Usually a "retry" or toggling of IFG in the RF menu reconnects. I'm pretty sure my Windows 11 laptop setup is good, and I'm using a high quality, "IF certified" USB cable with chokes at either end. I'm keeping the radio 3' from the laptop. Anyone else have a similar issue, or thoughts on a solution?

Are there any specs on what this jack does and how it keys an amplifier? I want to key my xpa125b with it without damaging anything!
