I have noticed that version 19 has much better control of the RF Gain and that the waterfall in the Version 19 was easier to monitor (20 seems way overdriven). Are there simple adjustments somewhere in 20 that can be adjusted to give the behavior of 19 for these two items? In fact, I have reverted to using 19 for now. Thanks for the software - I use it daily.

Maybe Mr. Oleg should offer a free version and a paid version of his app? $4.99 or you have ads for porno....It would compensate him for his effort.

Hi, I just upgraded to v19, and I am not able to connect to the serial port of my X6100 with this firmware in HRD ( Ham Radio Deluxe ). This works fine with factory firmware. Can someone shed a light what am I overlooking here? 73, Janos ON3JBS

I only use my X6100 while plugged into a DC power supply. Is there any way to set the screensaver so the screen stays on until the radio is turned off? Thanks, K5UTM

Used this firmware for the first time today on SSB. I like it; however, when I tried to operate CW, I realized I have to add settings for my preferences; eg Iambic settings. How does one do this? Thanks, KO6WL

My cat control no longer works with v19 R1CBU. I am running on linux mint: My radio is at latest firmware revision (from Radioddity - the one that says "fix Cat") 1. I boot up as default x6100 dmesg says ttyACM0 and ttyACM1. I know that ttyACM1 is the cat control. I go into flrig, and set my transceiver to ttyACM1 and 19200. Good to go. PTT works and CAT control works just fine. I reboot after putting in v19 of R1CBU, go into flrig, and choose ttyACM1 and 19200. Nothing works, no matter how many times I try it. And I've tried 9600, 38400, and 115200. Nothing. I boot back into default. Good to go. Anyone have any ideas? Ok. I have tried everything known to mankind, to get digital modes to work with R1CBU. It was my understanding that R1CBU was just a different GUI, on top of the radio. It is NOT. So at first I thought that flrig was at fault. So I booted up the default rig, and changed wsjtx to use IC-705 and set it up for CAT control. It worked flawlessly (via ttyACM1). So, I knew that everything was working. I rebooted into R1CBU v19. And I didn't use flrig either. So all I was using was the hamlib part of wsjtx. Same IC-705, same CAT control parameters. Nothing. So, I can only come up with the conclusion, that R1CBU doesn't work with digital modes. Too bad, I wanted it to, so bad. I like the interface. My X6100 is tied to a XPA125B amp using the ACC cable for auto band control. When using your firmware (which is great, thanks!) the XPA125B will constantly jump between bands while transmitting. The setup auto tunes fine with stock firmware. Is there a setting related to ACC in your firmware that I am missing? It's not that big of a deal, since I can easily use the XPA125B manual mode. Thanks again for the work you've done for the X6100 community.

Hi there! I found that with the voice announcement turned on it develops loud feedback loop through the microphone. I tried turning down all the other volume and gains to eliminate it but nothing works. If I plug in a headset, or unplug the microphone will disable the feedback. Not sure why the speaker/microphone is in feedback with the audio announcement. Interesting problem KD6AEJ CHUCK

Greetings, Thanks for all that you do, it is making the radio better to use in many ways. I tuned to simplex 146.550 and transmitted. It appeared to transmit but my other radios did not hear it. I transmitted with my other radios and received no signal on the X6100. I tuned VHF and UHF and found no signals. Is this working? If VHF/UHF can work we could maybe get APRS? Even if we have to use a Mobilinkd dongle. We could even get into WINLINK. Thanks again, Bryan KJ7PRS

Got the latest v0.18. Works great, AFAICT. Is this a place where I can make a request for the software group that does this? If so, then let me explain as to what I really need. I use the x6100 (R1CBU software) exclusively to do POTA activations. When I am under a pavilion or a nice big shade tree, I have no problems. When I am in the direct sunlight, I can barely see the screen. I can kinda see the waterfall, and see what frequency I am on, but I can't see anything else at all. I start my activation doing FT8 so I am in usb-data mode. I like to get my 10-15 contacts there, and then switch to phone (usb mode). Also sometimes I like to do 40m, and likewise I can't see if I am in LSB mode. So what I would really like is the mode to be right along side (or above, or below) the frequency at the SAME font (or bigger!). So I can do the switch. I hope, I made myself clear. This 75 year old guy with minor cataract problems has a hard time sometimes. Thanks for your time, and patience! Jerry WF5W

Is there a setting in the R1CBU firmware that allows one to toggle PTT on (TX) with a button press and off (RX) with a button press as opposed to having to hold down the PPT to TX and release to (RX)?

I cannot get hamradio deluxe to work with this configuration, under the official firmware, it connects fine using Icom and IC-7000 settings, at some point would be nice if this would work please. Thanks for all the hardwork on the R1CBU firmware, its great!
