Am stuck in a situation where Simpl Debug will not connect with a CP4. Either I get the 'waiting for device to initialize' or the 'cannot get any program information from the connected device....' messages. I have updated toolbox to the latest and that does not help. The CP4 in question is accessible on the network as I can access its web page. However, only about 10% of the time can I get Debug to actually start properly. Appreciate any help others have to offer. Hi All, I have a demo system here at the home/lab and am deploying another GLS-EM-MCU for a client int he coming weeks. I was expecting the retrieval of historical log data from the MCU to be much simpler but it appears that you have to program your processor to pull the data using Fusion EM modules and then it will create a local file you can retrieve. Cant find an actual demo program for Fusion EM, just RV... and the EM modules are nowhere near intuitive. I have a line out to the Fusion group but in the meantime, does anybody here have experience with setting one of these puppies up? I am using : RMC4 proc GLS-EM-MCU GLS-EM-CTI-2P21 Assorted 20-50-200-400A CTs monitoring 2 phase 100A at home monitoring single phase 400A (off grid solar/battery with generator backup) at the project I also need to setup email alerts and was going to poke around for the latest greatest email module, paid license or whatever works best... any pointers on what you prefer atm let me know! Im working on project to provide audio,display,source selection and codec controls on a crestron touchpanel. There is no poly touchpanel in the room and all controls will be via crestron touchpanel 770 in zoom mode.

Has anyone here worked with the NewBlue Fusion 3 Titler to populate Lower 3rd data from a Crestron system. The main idea is to take information from queue of speakers and then sendspecifict information to the titler application so that it will populate an on screen graphic with whoever is currently speaking.

Does anyone know what the expected behavior for this situation is in VC4 (before I bug people at Crestron). Our lab VC4-PC3 was running a room with a program (we can call this “Room 1” and “Program A”) that has an Analog RAM for some relatively unimportant value persistence (e.g. power states, what pages touchpanels are on, etc.) across program reboots and reloads. I deleted Room 1 from VC4. I added a new program (“Program B”) to test a new and completely different “Room 2”. I added Room 2 as a brand new room in VC4 and configured it to use “Program B” It appears (based on the way some values got initialized when the program isn’t initializing them) the Room 2 inherited the simulated NVRAM from the deleted Room 1. I would have thought that a “new” room with a new room ID (vs. editing an existing room) would also get “empty” NVRAM but that doesn’t seem to be what I’m seeing. If this is the expected behavior, is there a way to forcibly reset/reinitialize simulated NVRAM in VC4 (equivalent to NVRAMCLEAR on the 2/3/4 series?) I just want to Save As a Vt project as XPANEL to test with onsite. When compiling, I get a message that installer.air cannot be copied.... I know Crestron can't make anything quick and easy, but what am I missing?

Has anyone had any luck with these TVs and getting discrete control? I have the ability to use HDMI-CEC, LAN, or IR control, but need to know if there is a solution I should pursue which others have found to be reliable. I have tried HDMI CEC standard on off commands of \xE0\x04 and \xE0\x36 without any luck. I am getting a constant response of \x04\x83 from the TV itself, so it does look like it is there, just don't know what it will respond to. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, hope you guys are doing great. So, I just tried adding an Automate Pulse 2 hub (already configured by a 3rd party) to Crestron Home. The driver appears as ONLINE in the about tab, and all of the 17 shade motors appear in the connections tab, but instead of showing as ONLINE, each one says UNASSIGNED UNKNOWN. The problem is that when I go to the Managed Platforms section, to pull the paired devices, the page shows as blank and I can't do anything, not even go back to Crestron Wireless, Sonos, etc page. It just shows a blank page, like it crashed or something, I have to restart the CP4-R to get it working again. Authentication is disabled on the Automate driver. Howdy, I am installing a new dm switch and endpoints in a classroom. Pro3 processor DM 16x16 cpu3 rps Usual endpoints dm rmc 4kz scaler c, dm tx 4kz 202 Programming has the correct switch setup (cards, endpoints) Processor an switch talk to each other and signal switching is fine. Processor is not seeing end points and cannot send commands or RS232 to them. I have initialized processor and done a recovery on the switch. Have been on phone with support by they are stumped as well. I am currently waiting for them to pick up the phone. They told the to do the switch recovery and it that didn’t work to call them back. Has anyone tried to create a "dummy" HVAC integration element on the Lutron side and then send/receive data with it? The application is that I have some software staging that I need to do on the creatron side and then create a "combined virtual thermostat" and then present that to the Lutron system as a 3rd Party thermostat object. Sort of what we do with Savant where we create fake Aprilaire Tstats in Savant and then hace Crestron send it commands. Anyone tried that?

Hi Guys. I'm having an issue with a direct socket module. I needed a drop in replacement for the TCP client symbol, since I have a site with 80+ rooms running the same program where the only difference is the IP addresses of the connecting equipment. So I wrote a S+ equivalent to the SIMPL symbol that takes the IP address as an argument. Mostly it works well. but with certain equipment, I get a situation where the Rx string gets changed by the module itself. Every character is interspersed with a null character. Totally bizarre. Can the DM 8x8 CP3 handle multiple IP table entries so that it can be controlled from more than 1 physical processor? example 50 mycp3.localhost 51 mycp4.localhost

Have several of these units that will no longer communicate with the Crestron modules supplied by Matrox (version 1). Can get into the device menus but did not find any options to specifically allow external control. Device firmware version: 1.1.8.0020 Any ideas of how to make this work? not sure what the module would send if it did connect. So far, trying to decipher protocol via their document so I can send via Hercules client. No luck so far. The syntax required for authentication seems to be the issue. Not sure its a crestron issue. D3 worked fine over the last couple of days. Today my Dell laptop updated its BIOS and I am now having an issue with D3 program generation now. D3 goes through the entire generation till the very end, just before compile, and shows "Completing Program Generation" then changes to "Program Generated Incomplete" and generates a second simpl file in the programs folder. Program_Name_incomplete.smw Anyone ever scene this? Any idea what I should look at in bios that might cause this issue. I went back to the original program that I did a save as of and tried to build it and had the same result. All crestron programs are set to run as admin. I'm noticing that because it stops before compile that the simpl program is not being saved again at the end of the generation process either.

We have a large Crestron installation communicating with 4 Tridium Niagara Jace's through BACnet. 3 of the Jace's work obsoletely fine. The main Jace however is extremally busy and we are seeing BACnet comm failures on this device. I've listed the typical errors we are seeing at the end of the post: We integrate to a lot of Niagara systems so are used to seeing and fixing these errors. This typically involves tweaking BACNETDelayWPRP or tweaking the Jace programming. We've tweaked as much as we can in the Jace. Unfortunately the system was designed by a guy who has since been asked to leave our company and frankly it was not thought through properly. No consideration was given to program load balancing. A third party was brought in to complete the Tridium programming leaving me to try and sort out this mess. To give some context - when Crestron writes out to BACnet it expects a response in a timely manner. If that response fails to occur we will see the errors listed below. BACNETDelayWPRP increases the time Crestron expects a response. BMS integration is through an RMC3 acting as the BACnet bridge. This is running current FW and BACNETDelayWPRP no longer works. Crestron removed it in later FW (why wouldn't they). As a result we can no longer fine tune the BACnet. Does anyone have any alternate means of tweaking the BACnet on 3-series? Thanks s Errors: 25.
