Unable to converge a simple buck converter with manufacturer-provided (GENESIC) model 18
Can someone please have a look at my simulation of a simple buck converter using GENESIC SiC MOSFET model? I cannot make it converge. Most of the time the error is 'time-step too small'. The file is uploaded in the Temp folder with the name genesic_buck.zip. Thanks a lot!

Could not open library file error 7
Hello all, I am very new to LTspice and this group in general, so I apologize for any mistakes. I imported third part models, but when I attempt to do a transient analysis, I get the error message "Could not open library file "..\sym\ZZZ\MOS\IRF\LIB\IRF6613.spi"". I do not know what I am doing wrong, and any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you.

properly delivering a pulse to the circuit from digital components 3
Hello, Suppose i dont have any spice model From my digital DS1110 and 74ABT04. In a circuit shown in the attached link I have regular voltage source which delivers perfectly the pulse to the ciurcuit. How do i know that if my voltage source will be DS1110 and 74ABR04 then theere will be good "impedance" matching. From opamp theory i know that output impedance is low and load resistance is high so most of the voltage will go to the load. Purely looking at the datasheet how do i know that my pulse source will deliver in a good manner the pulse to the circuit? Thanks. https://eu.mouser.com/datasheet/2/916/74ABT04-1541721.pdf https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/DS1110.pdf https://groups.io/g/LTspice/files/Temp/john23/matching

digital buffer delay components 28
Hello,I am using 74ABT04 HEX inverter to create a good high quality delay and pulse rise and fall. However when i cascade 4 of them i get only 6ns delay from the input and output as shown in the links below. Is there some digital buffer component which will create a delay of 50ns for example? Thanks. https://groups.io/g/LTspice/photo/294510/3801106?p=Created%2C%2C%2C20%2C2%2C0%2C0 https://groups.io/g/LTspice/photo/294510/3801107?p=Created%2C%2C%2C20%2C2%2C0%2C0 https://groups.io/g/LTspice/photo/294510/3801108?p=Created%2C%2C%2C20%2C2%2C0%2C0

Rectifiers transformers modeled by coupled inductors - Inductance values 9
Good afternoon, I have modeled many times power transformers and also rectifier transformers. I commonly run simulations of AC/DC converters in order to evaluate the impacts on power quality (reactive power, current harmonics). I have a doubt about the best values in Henries to assign to the coupled inductors. I made comparations with transformer models made of voltage dependent voltager sources, and noticed that if inductance values are too low (less thant 1 H) the results in terms of current and harmonics are not reliable, and that too high L values (10s,100s, 1000s of H) impact output currents. My question is : is there an advisable or optimal value of L in Henries to assign to coupled inductors ? And, there is a rule of thumb to determine it ? Thank you. S.V.

Repeat a BURST voltage source every 25ms 5
Hi forum. Have been struggling all day long to find out howto simulate in LTSpice an arbitrary waveform generator. It is a burst of nr.5 500us width pulses with interval between bursts of 3,5ms that needs to be retriggered every 25ms. I have obtained it using into LTSpice the PULSE(0 30 0 1n 1n 500u 3.5m 5) voltage source named Vburst. so far so good. To trigger the Vburst, I have created another Vrepeat = PULSE(0 30 0 1n 1n 16m 25m). Howto trigger everytime the Vrepeat is in its ON phase? Is there a way to retrigger the one-shot Vburst at every 25ms? Is in LTSpice allowed the repetition of voltage sources? Have tried the behavioral voltage source without effort. Any help appreciated, Best regards

GPT which is capable of generating spice and ltspice .asc files. 31
Greetings everyone. I am studying how to use artificial intelligence, but specifically GPT (Generated Pre-trained Transformer) to teach topics related to Electronics, for this I created a GPT called Basicão da Eletrônica, the name refers to something extremely simple but does not imply that it is limited to the basics. They produce SPICE circuits, and I intend to train them for more circuits, perhaps I will create a GPT just for circuit simulation due to the large amount of material needed to train them properly, but for now everything is in two GPTs. For those who want to test it, there are two ways, one via the website www.chatgpt.com and the other via the ChatGPT mobile app of the same name. After installing, just go to the Explore GPTs option and search for GPT Basicão da Eletrônica and GPT Basicão da Eletrônica Avançado, and then open a new Chat. In the chat you can ask them in natural language to make a certain circuit using SPICE, it will try to make the circuit. It also generates the LTspice asc file, but it is still not very functional and has many errors. Maybe I'll create a new GPT just for circuit simulations. I count on the collaboration of my colleagues to provide example circuits to feed GPT so that it learns, ideally the examples would be in a pure file deck in spice and the asc file that represents the same circuit, so I can show gpt how files are composed. PSRR 20
I tried following Analog Devices' instructions on how to simulate PSRR in LTspice, but it seems that with these 2 components LT3060-2.5 and LT1761-2.5, the simulation results are not close to the datasheet when I tried with several other components it works Can anyone tell me if there is any other way to simulate the PSRR of these two components in LTspice? P/s: I have uploaded the file "PSRR of LT1761-2.5 and LT3060-2.5" to the Temp folder

.model types does not include capacitors 4
Hello, I seem to be missing the obvious. I am accustomed to using .model statement to define custom diode models, and today I wanted to do the same for a capacitor. Yet, it seems the types you can use the .model statement with do not include one for capacitor (nor for resistors or inductors, as a matter of fact). I know I can adjust the parameters of a capacitor model directly on the schematic symbol, but I would like to do it similar to how the models in the standard.cap library are defined. How should I do it? Regards, Cristian

LTPSICE Simulation - Digital Control of Phase Shift Full Bridge Converter 3
Hello All, I want to simulate Digital Control of Phase Shift Full Bridge Converter. Here, I have a simulation file for Phase Shift Full Bridge Converter. In which OUTA, OUTB, OUTC and OUTD are controlled using voltage source in Pulse mode - Ex: PULSE(0 12 {Tphase} 10n 10n {Ton} {T}). Where Tphase and other variables is defined through parameter statement. So these values are fixed for the simulation. Basically the circuit is not closed loop. We can set the parameters for any required value and check the output. Here I would like implement a system with 1. Analog Error Amplifier - Type 2 error amplifier / compensator using OP-AMP. Will sense the output voltage. - 2. ADC inside the controller - Convert the error amplifier output to digital values - I have implemented ADC using sample hold component available 3. Look-up table in MCU - Based on the ADC output I would like to vary the Tphase in the existing file - How implement a look-up table kind of solution in LTSpice? How to change the Tphase dynamically based on error amplifier output (ADC output) ? Are there any methods ? like look-up tables? I thought of creating a behaviour source. Like B source output will change based on the error amplifier output and the output of B source will by my TPhase. But I could not find a constant relation between Tphase and Error amplifier output. Anyways am working in this direction. Any suggestions / direction would be of great help. Other details: Tphase varies from 0 to 1000nS In controller step size is 10nS. Error amplifier output varies from 500mV to 2500mV. If you need anymore details please let me know. Thank you, Chandan

Slew rate simulation of a discrete Op amp on Ltspice 12
Hello everyone. I have a problem with the simulation of the slew rate of a two-stage op amp on Ltspice.. When I configure the op amp as a unity gain buffer the simulation goes into an infinite loop and I can't see the response speed of my op amp. when I connect the square wave pulse to one input terminal Vin+ of the op amp and connect the other to gnd without carrying out the feedback, I can measure the slew rate, but I don't think it's the right method. Thank you so much!! I insert the Ltspice schematic on the Temp folder in Files, the name is ProveDiff.

Using URC 8
Hi I am an absolute beginner in using LTSpice. I saw few basic video tutorials. I like to simulate a circuit with URC whose input is a unit step voltage and whose load is just a series RC branch. Could someone help me how to obtain load voltage. I do not know how to feed the parameters R and C per unit length in URC. Thanks.

V½A, what is it? 8
Good day, I edit the equation editor with equation "Ix(U2:p) * sqrt((2 * V(n024) * 160e-21) / 24e-24)" for a plot of electrostatic thrust and the y scale shows V½A where I would expect N for newtons. What is V½A?

How can be the additional parameters of an inductor be hidden in display of the schematic? 15
If I put additional paramenter (right clicking) an inductor and filling in the additional paramenters (series res, parallel res, parallel cap), all these values appear in the schematic making it very busy. Is there a means of selecting only the main value (inductance) whereas making the capture, for subsequent simulation with these additional parameters? TIA
